Lakeview Christian School has planned a move in order to help give the River Church a bigger building.
According to Head of School Rebecca Shrontz the change is coming after the merger of the River Church and Lakeview Christian.
“The River Church is a pretty big church… they really need a bigger building,” Shrontz said.
Shrontz said the reasoning behind the move that will hopefully benefit both parties to grow the kingdom of God. The move seems to have come at a perfect time as Lakeview Christian School has outgrown its previous building.
“We’re kind of busting at the seams for the classrooms and the spaces that we’re able to use,” Strontz said.
The movie will take place this summer as the school will make its move to the north side of Marion. The new facility is 150,000 square feet a huge upgrade compared to the old building that was only 30,000 square feet.
“It really came at a good time… giving us an opportunity to find a bigger space for us to be able to grow,” Shrontz said.
With the upgraded amount of space the school hopes to grow its reach and have a bigger impact on families and the community through Christian education.
